Bootloop motorola backflip . Please help!! :(
I recently tried switching ROMs, but in doing so, never created a backup in case of a f*ck up. So now, I'm f*cked up. I cleared/wiped EVERYTHING in a complete rage and now all I can do is boot it into recovery with "power+camera button, > volume key DOWN" I tried factory wiping/restoring it, but I keep getting,
" E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(No such file or directory)
Error mounting /sd-ext/!
Skipping format..."
I don't know what to do PLEASE help !
(Additional Information)
Running Android 2.1
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.1
And IS rooted.
If there are any additional things you need to know just ask. . .

listen
what you gotta do is use a different sd card..
or try formatting your sd card via pc and then put the update.zip in it..
once you put update.zip flash it via recovery..

for me.to get a save and secure new rom flashing,i always practicing method as below(using j-rodd recovery 2.0)for your info,i also got 2 memory that both have custom rom.here what i did
1-fullwipes using recovery
2-patitionize your sd to ex4
3-push flash.zip
4-fullwipes
5-start flashing.
Maybe this thing look dumb or stupid.but so far what i can say it works for me when i want to change rom.
So maybe you should partitionize your sd again.it will fullwipe/clear/format your sd.push and then start flashing back.for me it would be a big problem as long you can boot in recovery.Last edited by chinozsoul; 02-26-2011 at 01:47 AM.

I had that problem before, turns out clockwork doesn't always wipe correctly, spefically the sd ext. I flashed j_r0dd's recovery, wiped, and the rom installed fine. That should work.

Actually you do not need to re-partition the sd card between flashes unless you are flashing kernelzilla's CM port or if you are changing the partition size. As long as you are flashing between 2.1 ROM's and you do not want to change swap or ext2/3/4 size, you just need to wipe all. I took me awhile to figure this out and it is just extra unnecessary work.

Flash an sbf file with rsd lite. Make sure it's the right one for your country, and if it's US AT&T use the 2.1 sbf.

I have the file for the stock US sbf file, and I've tried flashing with RSD Lite, but I kept getting an error. I selected my phone, then browsed for the sbf, loaded it, but when I start flashing it says "Please wait for all-TCI ready, and try again..."

Where it says *Security on Fastboot disabled* ? If so, I've tried in that mode, RSD doesn't detect the device. If not, please explain..

I'm pretty sure you have to boot it holding menu j+d, at the same time.

Menu button on the keyboard? The button with 4 squares on it? If so, I just tried that and nothing happened. I tried all 3 (menu, j, & d) at the same time, and menu (hold) then holding j+d (while still holding menu.) Am I doing it wrong?

Sorry, wrong directions oops. Take out battery, reinsert battery while holding down j and d simultaneously on the keyboard.
