Call up your carrier and get an unlock code. It is IMPOSSIBLE to downgrade the radio, so your best bet is your carrier.

yea i know... but my BF was given by my uncle. its his spare phone. and he already change carrier. so its hopeless for me to get the code from the carrier. so i am hoping that someone might find a way to unlock it. already tried all the possible way i find in the forum. bricked my phone a lot of times. if someone found out how to do it. im sure a lot of people will be happy. cause i read a lot of post that are looking for a way to unlock their updated radio coz their carrier wont give the code for it.

There is no other way to unlock it with the new radio. NONE. ZIP. ZILCH. ZERO, besides an unlock code of course. If it comes down to it, buy one from an online site.

If you have been a customer for a while, you can tell your provider that you plan on doing some traveling, and they might provide it free of cost. (Tmo provides it free if you have been a customer for more than 60 or 90 days)

oh well... is there a site that can really unlock it? so far... from what i read from the forums here... they tried buying one... but was not able to unlock it... i'll try asking my uncle about it... anyway thanks guys for the reponse...

a while ago, i got an unlock code for only $2. works like a charm. just ebay it and read reviews, it should work 100% unless u dont follow the directions.

i got mine from a company called unlockusa just be aware that they will email u the instructions, so make sure u send all the necessary info and check ur junk email incase its there

which code? the code for unlock? or the password to enter homescreen?

if unlockcode then u are screwed, ur phone will enter a state where it locks itself unless u call the phone company for the fix.

You need to reflash your phone with RSD Lite using an OEM .sbf file for your country and carrier (it will likely then be locked to that carrier, and no unlock code will be available if it is different from originally sold). All available files are at BACKFLIP & MOTUS firmwares Superthread - Mod2Xtreme (our downloads section has been badly damaged by malware attack). Note that if the secure version of the phone firmware is greater than that of the file, it will not flash. If successful, you will need a sim card for that carrier to access the phone settings, which is required for root access and modifying.

It is possible to downgrade the radio, but android is no longer boot, only blue screen. May be it is possible to backup bpsw (radio) from unlocked phone (dd). By the way, att support says they do not have the code on my phone...
