I perma-rooted my G2 with the Gfree yesterday. It is now rooted and SIM unlocked.

got success on temp root, still no luck on permenant root yet.
I will try to do it again tonight and will post results.

finally able to do it.
It worked on my new G2.

trying to root my g2 with gfree
i just got my g2 and i cant find any links for the app installer so i could try and install gfree

just follow the link in the first post. it will take you to the guide which includes the files to be downloaded
