Root Bravo (Easiest way)
Root bravo
A very easy way to root your phone is first: (thanks to blake)
Install https://market.android.com/details?i...unknownenabler from the market and enable Install Unknown Apps.
Then download Ginger Break 1.20.apk and root.
But for example me, I cant download Sideload Enabler for Bravo from the market and this is what I did:
the easiest way for me was:
first download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 and root (just normal root), then reboot and Thats all.
To enable install unknows apps:
Go to the market and install https://market.android.com/details?i....marketenabler and set the app as if it was on AT&T (AT&T code is 31038) set it manually.
The go to the market and install https://market.android.com/details?i...unknownenabler, now it will show.
Thats all. I hope you get it!

No this does not work (at least for AT&T locked bravo), and I'm getting real aggravated trying to find a way to do it! The problem is if there was a "unknown sources" box to check in settings I wouldn't even need to root the stupid thing!!!! Cause that would allow me install any app I wanted to in the first place!!! Btw it says "this app is from an unknown source, and for your security only apps from trusted sources can be installed".
** Been thinking about getting rid of this thing and getting an Atrix! Ever since the update to 2.2 Ive had freezing and glitches(phone will freeze when opening an app and need to pull battery to reset etc.), plus don't think it will even get the next update to 2.3 so why bother with it??? Its a nice phone when running smoothly but its frustrating to deal with when it acts up like this.
***Update THIS post by No Clue is wrong as well! I wasted money on these programs!! They tell me constantly " your phone is not rooted, this is required in order to access protected files, the easiest way to find out how to root is to Google". LOL ARE YOU KIDDING ME! When I Google it takes me to three generic rooting processes that Ive tried that DO NOT WORK! So now I paid for and am stuck with stupid Root Explorer program that does nothing for me, what a waste of money!!!!!!!! If any one had these issues, or has an idea of what to try, let me know.

Relax ma, Firstly all you needed to do was download the motorola app "Sideload for Bravo" which gives you the non-market app install option and from THERE you should be able to root. but based off what you said it seems all you want it the non app privilege so you should be good with just that.

Thanks, I alredy ripped the app today, I installed the Market Enabler and set my phone as if it was on at&t
The problem is that to use market enabler the phone has to be rooted and I want to install sideloader for bravo to root the phone without connect it to the pc.
I'll download the files anyway. ThanksV300, V551, V557, L6, L7, Z6, ZN5, Cliq and VE66 along with Cliq XT, Bravo and Backflip! missing something?

Really? All that trouble? Just follow me. Do a google search for a program called SuperOneClick, download it. Use the cable that came with your phone and connect it to your computer. On your phone under settings chose applications and then development and mark the box debug. Choose Motorola Phone Portal as the usb type. Wait for all the drivers to finish installing. Click ROOT when done. After it says root finished reboot your phone. When it's back on connect it to the computer just like you did above but now choose "Enable Non-Market Apps" button instead of root.
P.S. The shell root button is just for a temp root. Root goes away on next reboot.
