Podrias probar con el firmware de un operador Tailandes que esta en esta direccion... sbf:mb502 [And Developers]
Yo no me he animado a flashearlo todavia...

Best not flash a .sbf file to a Charm. There is great risk of losing 3G on LATAM and SEA phones - T-Mobile USA uses different frequencies. FW version 2.1 and above can be rooted with SuperOneClick (shortfuse.org | Official Home of SuperOneClick!). Install a custom recovery (ClockworkMod) and back up everything. You can then remove any offensive apps you want. Just be careful - some blur files are required, or the phone won't boot. I saw a list somewhere - XDA developers, I think.

It's been a while and I was mostly just a lurker before, but a rash of phone issues lately has led me back to the kid's old Charm. I seem to have deleted some things I shouldn't have though, and since it was a while since I last touched it, I don't know even where to start, except from scratch. It is functioning, and I fixed some issues with the system apks that someone had linked somewhere. I really just want to update it to 3.90.7 so I can get wifi calling (terrible service at home and work), but I keep getting "unexpected errors" when downloading the system update.
Long story short, looking for any thing compatible with:
Blur_Version.0.2.6005.MB502.T-Mobile.en.US
2.1-update1
EPU93_U_02.28.03
BASIL_U3_02.60.5
Prefer to just flash 3.90.7, since I'm wondering if my problem is simply that they don't have the update on the server anymore, but any T-Mo that I can make work would be a start. All the links I could find pretty much anywhere on the web (including here) are long dead, anyone have anything hanging about?Last edited by feathered; 12-31-2012 at 11:52 AM.

Unexpected errors are probably due to missing files; you'll need to reload the original f/w.
T-Mobile_MB502_02.60.5_1FF_01 - Download - 4shared was recently added, so it should work. You'll have to sign up to get it.
Back up whatever you want to keep, then flash the 1FF file with RSD Lite. Boot up and log in to Motoblur. Turn on wifi (less data charges), go to settings and check for updates. It should update to the latest.
Wifi calling is handy if you're in the boonies or want to call back to the States from overseas.Hic sunt dracones...

All flashed. I had tried that one in the past, but for some reason (until I logged in to 4shared - so thank you for clarifying the signup thing) it was telling me it was removed.
Still getting the "Unexpected error - try again later" message on attempted update (It tells me updates are available and describes them, I just get an error when trying to download), I'm just going to have to call or email them about the update now that I'm back to stock, I guess.
Then, I can re-root and get rid of myspace, facebook, and a whole slew of other crap again. :-)
Thanks!
EDIT: Found a working link to T-Mobile_MB502_03.90.7_1FF_01.sbf.gz on page 79 of the XDA forum post:

I also uploaded it to 4shared in case the dropbox link ever disappears:

Telcel and Movistar both use 850/1900 3G frequency bands, the same as AT&T. T-Mobile uses 900/1700/2100 MHz, depending on locale, and their Charm will not work on the other bands regardless of the radio firmware. Likewise, if your Charm was made for a LATAM market, the T-Mobile firmware is not compatible with its 3G radio. The only way to get it back is to restore the original firmware.

And is there a way to restore the firmware? so far i have read that i cant go back from the Tmobile firmware...
Im just wondering if it is possible with a propiertary programmer in motorola or something??.. i mean could i send it to Motorola and expect them to restore it to the LATAM firmware?

Motorola Service Repair would certainly have the ability to restore the original firmware, but they may not support the phone any more. You can try:
https://motorola-global-portal.custh...p/30,6720,7489
Most links are long dead for the few firmware files that were discovered. Other LATAM f/w may work for you, if you can find it. Search for:
USABASMSTLALA02A (Movistar)
USABASCLALALA02C (Claro)
USABASIL01RINT150AI (?)Last edited by Saurus; 03-12-2013 at 06:14 AM.

Well i was able to find these 2
USABASCLALALA02C (Claro)
USABASIL01RINT150AI
So far i havent tried to flash them.. as im unsure if they will work since im on the T mobile bootloader... please tell me if they are flasheable.. since i dont want to have to do the fixing of the T mobile firmware if they dont work..
As for the motorola service well, if they will charge me 100+ dlls for the repair.. why bother right? the phone costs less than that...
thank you very much for all your replies by the way.

@pzyduck (a senior member here as well) posted the LATAM firmwares at GA:
Charm Firmwares Superthread - Charm - Grupo Android
You will have to sign up there to see if the links are current. I forgot about the bootloader version - they may all fail because of that, but it's worth a try.
Edit: after reading through that thread, it seems you may have a paperweight. But if you can still talk & text, the phone is worth something.Last edited by Saurus; 03-12-2013 at 04:22 PM.
