Any help on rooting a Moto MB300 would be greatly appreciated. I just joinrd this forum so I apologize in advance if this is the wrong spot. I am also a newbie at this so I will need some non technical advice. I want to use the Backflip as a mobile hot sot for an iPad.
Thanks for any and all help.

Cool thanks for the extra pic and the video. How do you like this phone so far? Two more days until it comes out, so I'm going back and forth between the Defy and the MyTouch 4G (Also Walmart has the Defy for $48.88, which makes it a little more attractive)

GET the DEFY! I love it. Its super light, the phone is basically a screen. You will hold it in your hands and think its a dummy phone. I Think moto did a great job with the defy and it has a great price on top of it. This phone runs alot smoother than my moto xt701. Even with the blur and everything. The mytouch 4g is pretty nice but most likely the root issues will be the same as the G2

Yeah I had the G2 for about a week, and it just wasn't the p hone for me. I did like that it had mostly vanilla Android 2.2, but reception was pretty bad for me (I work in Midtown NYC, so no coverage issues) also I found that I hardly used the physical keyboard, and that adds some weight to the device. I'll go to a T-Mobile store on Wednesday to check out both the Defy and the MyTouch and we'll see which one I end up with, but I do like the fact that it's "life proof", especially considering that I have 4 kids. My younger son decided to wash my Palm Pilot, basically killing it :/
One more question, is the "ring" around the phone white? or black? A lot of the pictures that I've seen show it as white, but I've also seen ones where it's black. Thanks - and good work on rooting it!Last edited by dorqus; 11-01-2010 at 12:21 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Awesome, thanks so much JBoogie3!
I checked the phone out briefly tonight at a T-Mobile store (They were setting up their display for tomorrow) but they did say that it only comes in Back and White, not Black and Black. Looks nice, but I want to check out the MyTouch 4G as well, it's pretty impressive looking based on the specs.Last edited by dorqus; 11-02-2010 at 07:27 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

The Motorola Defy is Black and White in USA and all Black in other countries... Great, I didn't like the black and white version! I'm waiting for Motorola release it in Brazil!

Hi,
i am also very happy with my defy. But the lack of android 2.2 still bothers me. Any chance to update to froyo on a rooted device?
Thanks

The defy will be getting android 2.2. Date is don't certain yet. First we will need a custom recovery before we could port android 2.2
