gingerbread release date?

Any word on the release of the gingerbread from motorola for update?

Nothing official from Motorola yet. The only comment from a Motorola employee made towards Gingerbread was: "This is not the Android 2.3.3 upgrade" when they announced the 1.1.30 update.

Keep in mind the build on here is a leak that wasn't meant to see the light of day lol. There's a chance the Cliq 2 may not even get it officially, but with how great this leak runs IMHO they'll release it officially at some point in the future. Truth is, only people within Motorola know the answer. My opinion on it being released is based on what I quoted above and the fact that this leak runs very well. I don't see them just saying "screw it" and not releasing it. Just my opinion though.

The leak almost doubles the performance of the device. That's before it was deblurred and deodexed which makes it even faster. They need to release it and let word get around of how great the Cliq 2 actually is.
