RSD Lite "issues"?
Hey guys,
I was using RSD Lite the other day, and when I was restoring 2.2.2 so I could put CM7 on my phone. However when I came to the step where RSD Lite would reboot my phone, it would always put my phone into a bootloop. I had the correct drivers, RSD Lite 4.9, and I tried 5.3.1 both gave me the same issues, and I was running it as administrator. I started freaking out since I had all the drivers, and a compatible RSD Lite, but then I remembered Stock Recovery, so I booted my phone into that, and wiped the data and cache, and when I restarted my phone, it booted up into the firmware I was trying to flash with RSD Lite. It was as if nothing happened. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

if you came from gb then that is what you have to do.i even saw a post about having to do just that.i had to when i went from the leak back to froyo so i cold put cm7 on.
cliq 2
gingerbread 2.3.4
rooted with custom recovery.
Motorola cliq 1

was very modded with cm7

i am going to learn how to mod on this if it
kills me and the phone.

When going from gb to froyo to install cm7, you need to flash the 1.0.23 firmware. the 1.1.30 sbf is a fixed sbf and won't correctly downgrade your phone. That's why you had the issue.

When it comes to downgrading the phone to give cm7 a try can you just boot into the stock recovery and do a recovery from there to get back down to 2.x?

Ok was just a thought. Figgured it would be the easiest way to downgrade then upgrade.
