Pimozide have you heard anything from moto yet? And you did say you can't get into the bootloader correct? Reason I ask is I was goofing with my phone and couldn't even get into the bootloader and had the idea to grab my extra charged battery and evidently it was the battery being to low.

there is no such thing as perm brick for android... (at least that I have seen) so you can't get to the bootloader by pushing u+pwr? what happens? Im can u get to stock recovery? x+pwr?

Oh how I wish it were true. So when I press the power button the red light blinks for a sec and goes out. Power and X, same thing. Power and arrow, battery and x, battery and arrow, volume down and power, volume up and power....nothing. Red light for a second...then black. Screen never even lights up. RSD reads the state as "flash" and will actually flash the phone but the screen never turns on and no combinatons of options checked for RSD or sbf files seems to bring it back. This state appears to be unique to motorola and other phones have run into this issue...atrix 4g and defy that I saw. Most posts describe as terminal.
I posted on the soak forum...quite a few people this happened to. So far, other than being told RSD software is stolen...we haven gotten much guidance but they have held off rolling out the update further. I have a trouble ticket into motorola and they responded needing my serial number..which I can't give right now becaus the phone is home keeping some papers from blowing off my desk
But...I knew it was the risk...thats why we have all those disclosures before screwing with the ROMs. I just wish unofficial CM mod could get the dang mute button and wifi to work...wouldn't need to mess with this stuff.
Just got a message from motorola that I will need to exchange the phone.
Sounds like motorola is honoring a replacement for testers who bricked...so at least I am not out of a phone.Last edited by Pimozide; 02-22-2012 at 10:20 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

well my guess is that they saw we rooted the leak and saw we were able to flash back to old version so they "Fixed" those problems the only way they know how .... by bricking the phone
