romming back and forth question

A question for those of you more knowladgeable than myself. I know to go to cm or miui you have to be on 2.2.2 but if you are allready on miui or cm do you have to sbf back to 2.2.2 to go to 2.3.4 or can you just install it from the zip?

As far from I know, CM7 and MIUI is android 2.3.7 and the leaked gingerbread update it 2.3.4 so I can't imagine the phone allowing you to downgrade itself from the same Gingerbread OS.

Ok that makes sense about the minor version number. Never considered that. So you should be able to go from miui to cm without sbfing back then correct?

I'm not sure about that, i know you can go from CM to MIUI, but not sure if it can go the other way around

I guess I will have to give it a try later. Kinda funny when I tried to install cm before I installed miui it would not install all the way but miui did. Guess its time to see if I can screw it up enough to need a sbf
