I'm kind of glad I couldn't flash the ROM. I definitely don't want to go through the baseband problem.

After some trial and error i got the rom up and running and must said really like it, follow the steps as op for the base-band problem and everything is working good so far and yes u should be on stock 2.2.2 to flash this, i even try the extended settings mod but it didn't work status bar fc on me.

When I flashed it, I had no problems with signal or data. However I don't think its worth uploading because most of the ROM isn't in english.

I'm giving this a try... So far here's what I see:

If you follow the instructions provided, it installs fairly simple.
Base-band app worked without a hitch.
Camera, calls, text, web all work.

? Where do I try out wifi calling ?

Issues:
Color theme out of the box is very bad. Lots of dark on dark colors. I'm sure a theme switch will fix this.
No market. You'll have to download the market separately from the web.
Side mute-switch inoperable.
Some of the text is in Mandarin. However, main functions are in English.


After playing with it for a few minutes it soft bricked the phone. wont pass the MOTO logo. I'll stick with CM7 for now until they work out some stuff.

I've been running this for a week and it is pretty solid to be at least to me my daily driver rom, yes u do have the little bugs posted by LordBelialz but the black on black problem its nothing new to miui roms ill see it all the time on my galaxy, about the market thing, on ur home screen u will see a bag that looks like the market icon open that and u will see all the goggle aps like market, gmail, maps and some others, all the text in there is going to be in mandarin so i suggest to fire up the wifi so the icons will load quick that way u know what ur dawloading, another thing LordBelialz didn't mention is the back light on the keyboard probably dont work, make sure screen back light is set to automatic then go to settings, display,advance mode then edit other levels, once in there if u look on the keyboard level is going to be at 0 change all the ones under keyboard to 1 and save, that should fix it.

It could be the kernel. Current MIUI users, download CM7 and strip out its boot.img, put it in your SDCard, download a terminal emulator and type in:

flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
reboot

nop. they cant not strip the boot img, if thy open it or mod it the boot loader doesent allow you to flash it , bootloader locked means no custom or mudded boot img

i know how to translate miui, but i need the system/app and system/framework/framework-res.apk to translate it

Hi. I'm new to this and this is my first post. I flashed MIUI about a week ago. It's seems pretty stable. Those mandarian apps are still buggin me tho. My brother has a droid x and he was able to download an english version of MIUI. Is there anyway we could take the framework from an english version and put it in this mandarian version to translate?

Since I spent the better part of a day figuring this out, the only way I could figure to get back my signal is to follow the directions EXACTLY as in the original post. RSD Lite, Update.zip, fiddling with the baseband...none of that worked. You need this file and the baseband switcher.
