This is MIUI for the Cliq2!

I got this ROM from this thread over at 591 fan.

Since I can't read Mandarin, and even after Google Chrome translated it I wasn't too sure of what I was reading, I have no idea what all the bugs are, though from what I've checked on my Cliq, it seems like there aren't many. I could be wrong though haha.

Anyway! Here's the download link.

To flash, follow the normal steps to flash a ROM:
1. Put the file MIUI.zip on the root of your sd card
2. Reboot into 2nd init
3. Backup your current ROM (optional, but recommended)
4. Wipe data/factory reset
5. Wipe cache
6. Hit install zip from sd card
7. Hit choose zip from sd card
8. Find MIUI.zip, hit yes, wait and reboot!

THESE NEXT FEW STEPS ARE CRUCIAL IF YOU WANT YOUR PHONE TO GET SIGNAL

ms1 plus v1.98.apk
3G fix

1. Download the ms1 plus v1.98.apk file, place the file to the root of your SD Card, and place the bbsV4.0mlV0.7.zip on the root of the SD Card also. DO NOT EXTRACT bbsV4.0mlV0.7.zip.
2. Install "ms1 plus v1.98.apk"
3. Open the app. (In the drawer, it should look like a gear, just like settings, but the name says PLUS and some other things in Mandarin.)
4. Select the thing that looks like 3 multi-colored signal bars. (Middle row, right side)
5. Click the one that, in parenthesis, says (B1B8068). (It is the FIRST one with 3 letters in Mandarin.) (After selecting it, something will pop up, hit the button on the LEFT. I believe only one popup comes up, but if 2 do, select the button on the left again.)
6. Your phone should then reboot. If it doesn't, reboot it now.
7. Once the phone finishes rebooting, reboot into recovery.
8. Click install zip from SD Card and choose bbsV4.0mlV0.7.zip.
9. One installed, go back and choose reboot system now.
10. Open up the app (It's called Defy Baseband Switcher, and has a blue icon)
11. Grant SU access, choose Americas at the top.
12. Select the first baseband (US T-Mobile 3.4.2-107-4)
13. Reboot

You're phone should now receive signal, along with EDGE/3G/H connection speeds!

If this method did not work try this method Alternative method to fix signal!

Oh, and as always, I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong while you are flashing this ROM/fixing the signal. Both of the methods I posted are the exact same ways I flashed everything to my phone, and it is working fine.

U should use this apk 591 to change your baseband, as they didn't change the stock baseband( would be fix soon)

Just tried, the Plus Kit.apk was written in Mandarin, so I have no idea what to do when I'm inside of the app

Plz make it happen. I love showing my girlfriend (who has a Cliq2) my new features. She has the Cliq2 with stock Rom.

Is this Rom for Froyo or Gingerbread? I'm running GB and for some reason it won't install. I'll try again once I get to a charger and tell you what error message I get.

I think it's great that there is an MIUI port in the works, I just feel that, as I am the most cynical person on the Cliq 2 forums, that it will never be in a non-alpha/beta status. It takes a lot to make a stable version of a custom rom, which isn't just a small mod, but basically a major rebuild of android's framework. If perhaps more people interested in porting came together for this phone, things could happen. I just wouldn't get my hopes up for Cyanogenmod (7 or 9) or MIUI to ever make it to a "final" version. There just isn't enough support from the community for this phone.

It's just my 2 pence, I'd love those few out there working on things to prove me wrong instead of just arguing against my opinions.

hic. I just up this rom and now, I can not call anybody. No signal. I up original rom of motorola but it is still happend. Please help me.

I think you should remove link download this rom. I try to search radio.img to reflash for my cliq2

To all users: do not flash this, it will break your signal. A solution to this is being looked for.

I am in the same boat....I tried this rom last night, now I'm stuck with a soft bricked christmas present! theres got to be a way to flash the radio or baseband or something. so far once I lost signal I have tried restoring from a backup that just apparently failed, and got rid of 2ndinit, sbf'd both stock roms and tried in between and nothing, and used the update.zip to flash the new gingerleak...still no go on service. how did the miui change it so it doesnt work and the original doesnt fix it? i figured just going back to the beginning would fix pretty much any type of soft brick, and thats basically what i have right now...
