UPDATED 2/15/2012 [ROM] [Leak] Gingerbread 2.3.4 Firmware 2.0.84 (8/19/11)
This project was done by Eccentric Vision Development Team, which consists of myself and tatted. It is Android 2.3.4 with the new Blur. At this point, no root is achieved. That is still being worked on.
To install this, you need to be on a completely stock 1.1.30 firmware with all the bloatware still intact. It works best without having Slightly Blurry installed, as that rom is deodexed and this Leak is not. You WILL encounter force closes if you do not use a stock 1.1.30 release.Code:This will definitely void your warranty. We are not responsible for bricked devices, out of warranty fees, broken relationships, nuclear war, or anything. By doing anything in this thread, you do so at your own risk and know the potential risk of doing so. If you are not comfortable with SBF, stock recovery, etc, do not attempt. You have been warned.
Download here
Copy update.zip to root of your sd card.
To install, enter stock recovery by holding down X and Power until you see the Android and Exclamation Point. Close the keyboard and press the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Camera Keys (use volume keys to navigate and power button to select). Scroll to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and press Power. Scroll to Wipe Cache and Select Power. Scroll to Apply update.zip and press power. This will install GingerBread.Last edited by tatted; 02-16-2012 at 08:01 PM. Reason: updated download link

Glad you found it. I might post 2.0.85 later if it seems better than this.

Gah having to update from 1.0.23 first before I flash gingerbread... been avoiding 1.1.30 like the plague because it messes up my phone in such a bad way... So many glitches that 1.0.23 was more stable for me lol! Can't wait to play with the ginger goodness! And I have faith that you will figure how to root this in no time just don't kill yourselves trying to figure it out lol!
Kk gotcha well let us know! Cool regardless! Would love to find out how you are all getting your hands on these releases... Lol would give me a chance to do some poking around and see what I can find ^_^ lolLast edited by nebneb333; 08-19-2011 at 09:54 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

How long does it take for the recovery to come up? And do I need to be at another screen other than the home screen?

Longer than a minute? And by home screen, I mean... desktop? Not sure what else to call it. Just the standard screen where the widgets are.

vispor the recovery happens before you actually boot into the system. if you have made it to the launcher you need to reboot and follow the 2ndinit custom thingie instructions.

Oh, I thought the instructions were to have a completely stock rom. I didn't know I needed to have in 2ndinit thingy.
