I can not SIM Unlock my Atrix 4G MB860. Please help!

    Hi to all.
I apologize for my English, I'm from Ukraine.
    I bought a Motorola Atrix 4G MB860 on Ebay.
He came with a SIM lock operator AT&T, but with the unlocked bootloader.
The problem is that the phone does not want to disengage from the operator ... They gave me Unlock code in the AT&T, I enter it, and the phone says: "Unlock code not unssucceful". In AT&T said to contact Motorola ...
I watched the IMEI on the phone and not on the box.
Another interesting fact: if I insert the SIM card from AT&T phone, he still asks to enter the Unlock code. I thought that with this SIM it should run without any code.
Do you have any thoughts on this?
    Thank you for your attention.

Are you now located in Ukraine, or US?
Apparently your unlock code does not match the IMEI number of your phone.
If you bought a used or "refurbished" phone it is possible the IMEI label does not match the (replaced) circuit board IMEI.
Select "emergency call" and dial - *#06# - that will show the actual IMEI number (it will not call anywhere). Then check if that is the IMEI that is for your unlock code. If it is different, you will need to get a different unlock code.
If you enter more than 3 attempts it will lock out further attempts and say "Contact Service Provider".
On older phones the "number of attempts" count could be reset to 0 by leaving the phone on while charging for several hours (sometimes days); perhaps this works for newer phones as well. I'm not sure if that reset requires a signal from the subsidy carrier's tower (ATT) or not - if so, in Ukraine you would be SOL.
Another interesting fact: if I insert the SIM card from AT&T phone, he still asks to enter the Unlock code. I thought that with this SIM it should run without any code.
That should not happen at all - are you sure it doesn't say "Contact Service Provider"?

    Thank you for your reply.
I am in Ukraine. I looked the IMEI number in the phone by dialing *#06#. Unlock code, which gave me the AT&T for my IMEI.
Many times I entered the unlock code and the phone still prompts me to enter it. I've never seen the phone said "Contact Service Provider". He always asks to enter the unlock code.
No matter where I am. If I insert the SIM card AT&T to phone, it should not ask for the unlock code, but it asks me to enter...
I am sure that the phone does not say "Contact Service Provider". Phone always asks for a SIM unlock code.
I do not know what to do. : (

If I insert the SIM card AT&T to phone, it should not ask for the unlock code...
    This is very true.

The first I would suggest is that you ask for your money back from whom you bought the phone. If that is not possible, all I can suggest is that you try to flash the phone firmware. Motorola has updates available on their US website, but I didn't find it in their western Europe server. (It is an AT&T phone - marketed in US only.)

Go to ATRIX 4G Software Update Page - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA and select 'Automated Update (PC Users Only)'. The instructions are rather easy to follow.

Google Translate may be helpful also.

Google Translate може бути корисним також.
