Hmm, no one with the HTC Aria yet??
im possibly gonna get the Aria, its a nice small HTC about the size of my v3

just lookin to see what mods, hacks and apps are available for it before i rush out and buy one. if nobody here is working on the Aria yet perhaps i will be the first to bring some info over!!
first order, naturally, is to jailbreak the sucker!! Who's with me?

Jailbreak? You mean root right? lol, getting a few wires crossed there.

Devices available:
HTC Hero|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: Hero-Deck 2.3.7 by Bharat_goku Fastest and most stable (for me anyway) AOSP GB Rom
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: GingerDX V020
ZTE Race|Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: CyanogenMod 7
Samsung Galaxy S i9000| Recovery: ClockworkMod|Rom: OneCosmic's ICS Port RC3.1

haha!! yeh, i mant Rooting, but im pretty sure its the same thing...except "jailbreak" is the term for iPhone

Nope, not quite. Rooting allows you to access the filesystem as a "SuperUser" making it accessible to make changes to the file system. Whereas Jailbreaking is modding the filesystem to allow 3rd party apps.

Don't worry I'm still an Android n00b, I only learnt all that last week :P. Just get a G1 for now... something cheap to get you going.

I would say get an g1 phone too since that phone has been pretty much modded to the max to its true potential, and that phone is pretty hard to brick so go for it

I'll try to help now and then but hardly ever answer through PM. Keep It simple and easy to understand for other people to understand. Hit the Thanks button if I helped.

I have the HTC Aria.Love the phone, its small and quite powerful considering the CPU is set to 600 MHZ but it has the same GPU as the Nexus One and Evo 4G.If you are looking for something small and dont care about the physical keyboard it is a great phone.
