CM7 2.3 Extras(Aria)

My only complaint with the new 2.3 update was the lack of Voice command in the keyboard. For those of you like me, who like the "voice to text" Mic, Google Voice Search app restores this feature. It can be downloaded from the Market, or download it below and install using your favourite File manager

Our friends at XDA have created a custom kernel for this ROM also. with the custom kernel you can set specific CPU clocks.
Be aware that O.C.ing your Aria may result in shorter lifespan.
That being said, i set mine at Minimum 200mhz and Maximum 806mhz, Governor set to Interactive.
A benchmark test on the CPU shows 100% increase in speed over default settings

CM7 Custom Kernel

To get GPS working on CM7 follow these steps:1; Wipe Factory and Cache in Recovery
2; Install CM7 and Reboot
3; Make Nandroid Backup in Recovery
4; Wipe Factory Data in Recovery
5; Install CM 6.1.1 ROM and Reboot
6; Install THIS Gapps Add-On in Recovery and Reboot
7; Sign in to Google account and check signal for GPS (may take a few minutes for location)
8; If GPS works in CM 6.1.1, boot into Recovery again
9; Wipe Factory Data and do Nandroid Restore of the CM7 backup made earlier
This is a work-a-round to get GPS working in CM7. A bit of a pain, but if GPS is important to you the procedure should only take about ten minutes
