power on, let go, hold power until it says starting recovery kernel, then let go of power

press the "home" button, and use the menu to wipe cache, factory reset, flash the factory rom, and wait for first boot w/ ac power plugged in.

after first boot, turn unit off, and turn back on and boot into recovery again.

flash the a7-gapps zip provided (remember to rename it to update.zip to work w/ recovery).

congradulations, you should now have a FULLY WORKING MARKET PLACE.
UPDATED NOTES; this is the the 1.82 market that comes w/ the latest gapps for tegra from cyanogenmod (gapps-mdpi-tegra-20101020-signed). i patched it using the same smali patches applied in the patched market found in dexter's 1.2 rom, minus the androidmanifest.xml. this may account for it not autoupdating the market itself, but for today i'll take full market access on the old interface than limited access on the new market.
i tested this patched market to show "skyfire" and "qik" video players, and i added further build prop and permission settings that provided more search results; searching for 'gps' and 'video' results went up from 3300 to about 4500.
i intentionally did not provide larger apps like youtube, maps and twitter as they are downloadable from the market.

This is the google apps, libs and permissions that i extracted from cyanogenmod's gapps package and provided as a standalone update.zip for those wishing to have the google android market on their tablet, but not wanting to deal w/ a third party experimental rom requiring regular updates and wipes.
I hope you enjoy using the google market and applications with the latest stock rom. My wife does, and can now enjoy her working tablet w/ farmville.

its originally posted and created by me, uploaded to multiupload, and should have some 5 to 10 different links to choose from on the multiupload page i linked.
you need to make sure to do a factory reset in recovery AFTER applying the gapps market update.
only tested to work w clean installs. will make a standalone market installer that will clean an existing market first, to avoid data wipes for those just wanting market enhancement.
otherwise i may remind that your wifi connection must be establish, or you will get network errors when trying to access the market.
sometimes wifi is slow to connect when you power on/resume tablet use. i keep the power control widget on screen to enable/disable wifi when i'm impatient and having network errors.
and a common tip to start up downloads when they dont is to open google talk. the talk service is somehow bound to google data services, so when they dont start (downloading) as expected, you can open up talk to start it up.

Hi had issues - flashed your zip and have it now...wonder why A7 says install complete. Formatting MISC:... I did a complete cache clean up, etc as you recommended...but system seems to be stalled...
some nvidia functions regarding partitions is odd. i'm not sure what use the misc partition has, but its formatted after every update. youll notice next time, now that you know.
otherwise, a factory reset (from recovery, can even be done w out reapplying updates) is needed after applying my update. this gives the tablet a fresh start w the rom and gapps to setup and install.
this also saves you redownloading 90megs worth of factory rom, instead of my packaging the gapps into the rom.
i wont repackage the rom until i at least theme it, and preferably finish the clockwork mod and recovery kernel. clockworks recovery boots, keys and menus work, but needs testing and some kernel experimenting to maybe gain access to the boot blahblahblah. anyways.
