Flashlight going off with ring lights?

Hi. I just recently got a ROKR E1 off of eBay that was locked to Cingular. I managed to unlock it, but in the process of doing so, I had to download a MP to install to it. I wasn't able to use the ROKR before unlocking so I don't know its normal functions.

So to get to the point... when I was playing with ring lights, I noticed that the flashlight in the back also goes off with them. The light is super bright and a bit excessive so I was wondering if this is something that originally happens with the ROKR or if the MP activated the flashlight to go off with the ring lights, and if so, is there a way to turn off the flashlight during the ring lights? My sister has an e398 which does not use the flashlight so I'm not sure why this phone does it.

The funlight.pat file is located at /c/mobile/audio/
