Alright, sorry for newb post, but ive spent 3 hours tonight screwing around with this phone and have gotten no where. I have spent hours on here searching and hitting up the stickies and what not, but have no results. Please help, thanks.
I do not understand all the technical terms used on here so please translate if needed.
I want to play music on my phone.
Itunes blows for uploading, and after many attempts of trying to make it work, it simple does not.
I want a way to easily put music on my phone.
I found thread on here about Moto tunes
I first installed this version of a new iTunes. Theres no instruction as to how its supposed to work; that would be nice.
Its my understanding that I just copy over my music files to the TF card and this new iTunes version will auto create a Data base for the phone to read them without having to use iTunes on my PC to send songs over to my phone, correct? The app seems to work, however there is no "DB creator" that I can find, thus this idea of simple putting music files on the TF will not work.
So I installed Mototunes. When I go to my apps on my phone it says that "This app is out of date. Verify time and date settings in initial setup." And now when I click my itunes button the new itunes doesnt load.
How can I easily get music on this phone to listen to?
Thanks.
If you have installed the hacked itunes, then remove your TF, delete the iTunes folder on it, and re-insert it to your phone...after you turn on your phone and iTunes has been loaded, open itunes, press the menu button and you should see a iTunesdb creator..use that in order to create the database sothat iTunes will load your songs...to be sure your songs are all loaded, make sure to place them in mobile\audio folder of your TF...there is also another method to create iTunes database using winamp...

Alright well after more tinkering, I did discover that I had neglected to press the menu button.
I found the DB creator, however im not sure why but it has only played 2 songs of mine, which are 192kbps, the others are all 320kbps, is there a cap? I thought that this new hacked version eliminated that. I really dont want to have to convert my audio files in order to put them on my phone....
As well, how am I supposed to go about putting the files on my TF?
What root directory do I put the files?
I was playing around with p2k tools and I can put files on the phone using that, but it seems to take longer and it would be more universal if I could just put them on by accessing the TF card under my-computer, dragging and dropping in the proper directory. Can I do that?
well if you want to be able to play 320kbps songs on your iTunes, you require more than just hacked iTunes...you need to patch the firmware of your cellphone before you can do that...and the easiest way would be just to flash a modded firmware for your phone...so it's either you patch you firmware, flash a modded firmware, or just convert your songs to 128kbps/192kbps...
if you have winamp v 5.5 on your computer, you can use it to initialize the itunes database on your trans flash after installing iPod_Support plugin (downloadable from winamp's website)
look for this tutorial "Make iTunesDB Using Winamp+iPod Plugin" on e398mod.com
