ROKR U1 dilemma

I have a Motorola ROKR E1 which doesnt read sim cards. It's costing me too much to get it repaired.

Is there anyway I can use it for music or do something with it?

Maybe ur sim card not yet exactly, or change with another card.so try again to install ur sim card..

if still cant read, maybe ur hardware have roken..

I got it checked, its the hardware.

Edit seem 004a_0001 and 004b_0001

offset 4D bit 0 set to 0

You'll be able to use phone without SIM Card, so you can listen the music

If you need this phone to make calls and it is not a hardware problem, then there is realistically no way of repairing it without good know-how. I would recommend purchasing a new phone; you would need to be very adept at soldering and dismantling the phone (as well as having compatible replacement parts) to fix this problem. Sorry

Ok, Open P2KTool3 and connect your phone..
Go to Seem Editor

Now open seem 004a_0001, check the red square above (change it to 004a and 0001)
Press open from phone (Green square)

Now, you'll get seem 004a_0001 there
Go to offset 4D (Look at Yellow color there)
4D, it means row 0x040 and column x0D

Now change it to 00
Or just go to Bit Operations and uncheck bit 0
Then, save to your phone... (Blue square)

Restart your phone..
Before you do that, better if you make a backup first...

For seem 004b_0001 do the same thing...

Hope it work...
