    one thing that bugging me is...how can the IMEI change??? never heard of that!!

    yes, the IMEI can be changed. we have a smartclip testbox for doing just that. the thing that however cant be changed is the IMSI, cuz it resides in a kind of ROM, whose name i cant recollect!

    btw, is the smart clip only limited to moto or can be used with other manufacturers as well????

    and wts the use of changing the IMEI....i cant stop myself relating it to illgal activities!!!

    AFAIK, smart clip is for all phones, the box is named diff, maybe. i saw one in Virgin Essar Mobile Store. its the size of a small HAM radio. the most obv ans on y to change IMEI, is stealing, and reselling. or maybe u kidnap a kid, and keep changing the IMEI LOL!

    Are you sure? ...I think IMSI is identified by SIM, not from phone.

    there r two IMEI set in our phone one is done with the OPT (one time programing) wich is impossible to change.. another is set in the pds wich can be changed through some seem edits.



    Are you sure? ...I think IMSI is identified by SIM, not from phone.
    IMSI-International Mobile Subscriber Identity wich is stored in the SIM inside the phone and is sent by the phone to the network.........
