does my sim card have to be in the phone for the micro-sd to work?
My phone mode is set to "Memory Card" under Connection -> USB SettingsLast edited by ashishhsihsa; 05-03-2010 at 10:41 AM.

yes the connection are k. still dont know what the problem is.can you tell me whether the songs are available in ring style, details and select line one tone and tell if the songs of mem card are available.
also add some songs to your mem card and open with digital audio player and tell if the songs are available.Last edited by rocky5454; 05-03-2010 at 10:56 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Ok. Finally when SIM card (an old expired one) was inserted , it detected the memory card & formatted it too.
But here is the problem, I want to use the phone & memory without a SIM card.
I know there is an article on SEEM editing on how to use the phone without a sim card.(resetting bits at 004A offset 4D)
But I need to use memory card as well and it appears that memory card is not detected without a sim card.
Any idea how to go about it?Last edited by ashishhsihsa; 05-03-2010 at 12:48 PM.

the memory card is now readable but only when SIM card is inserted.
Is there any setting to make it readable without SIM card inserted.

U might wanna try flashing your phone again. just ensure that you remove the sd card while flashing. thats an error none of us have faced, or atleast has been accounted.

Another problem is a phone number is dialed using keypad, it usually cache the key press and does not show up until next key is pressed. E.g.:- If I type in 1224 it will only show 122 on display. Then if I continue i.e. press (1224)6, it will show 1224 on display.
Any idea how to fix it?

i just want to advice you to change to any other mp like jays windows mp or quickslvr 2.0 mp by tux. now your solution it may be a skin problem or may be mma_ucp issue so change these two. this may help you.
i think mma_ucp is not a issue.Last edited by rocky5454; 05-06-2010 at 01:30 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Changed the skin (android to Cobalt) and worked perfectly.

@Ashish your skin seems to be solorazr droid. it has a problem not of caching, but of incorrect margins. the first character is typed outside the screen, or something like that.
