in case i have to search for it again
hi there,
it's time to say thank you to you all, especially to rasputin: you made my phone work great (most of the time) and look nice.
and the most important: made it work as ftp server.
my intention to buy a linux-based mobile phone was the same as using linux for everyday-work - and of course i expected the mobile to support usb mass storage out of the box scsi-emulated, bad surprise...
and then you saved me. thanx rasputin.
i flashed two mobiles (one has linuxmod 5, one has 3, it's quite some time ago) both are running mostly stable.
and for others, who sometimes forget things like me (and for me if i search in 3 month):
if you don't get the modem configured on your computer, then you forgot to load zaurus module. if you have zaurus module loaded, you will get kernel messages showing you that modem usb* (for me usb0) was found. then you can ifconfig it.
bye bine

thanx alot i was getting really bored with my v8... i was scared i would brick my phone. i dont know much about modding. i used the skinman for my z3 back in the day. i took a leap of faith and flashed the linuxmod3a into my v8 2gb and all good.... if u pay close attention and follow the guide. its really simple. thanx again....
quick question. i already had A3 CF bootloader on my V8 2gb.. but 2 be on the safe side i flashed the A3 CF bootloader in the link u provided. i read on another post on this site that u need a noRsa A3 CF bootloader to run linuxmod firmware. this person had problems with their phone.
¨¨NoRsa boot allows you to use unsigned firmwares (non original firmwares) such as Linuxmod.
When you turn it on in bootloader mode, the screen shows "NoRsa boot A3.CF"
should i listen to this and download a A3 CF norsa bootloader ??Last edited by flipcrackpot; 07-31-2010 at 05:48 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

mm well, that´s a requirement that Linuxmod needs:

"Code Currupt
Battery Ok
Ok to Program
Transfer Mode:

Re:Motorola V9 RAZR2
This is interesting as it explains things in terms that a newcomer can understand. However I wonder if a similar approach would apply to the V9.
Will the same software that works for the V8 work for the V9? All advice appreciated.

Sorry but no, because V9 is a p2k phone.
This is your section: Razr˛ V9 / Krzr K3
There you can mod your phone

Thank you for your reply. I will check out that thread. I also have a V8 so I might come back here also. Best regards
