    Some 3D Java games are crashing because the heap Java memory limit on the V8 is just 1MB compared to 2MB on the V3x (V3x can also be modded up to 4MB) and 1MB is not sufficient for the 3D apps to run. I don't know of a method yet on how to raise the heap limit.

    As for the NES emulator, someone asked it around 2 weeks ago. Can't remember the answer though...

    Have a look in the ezx_system.cfg file for this
    [SYS_JAVA]
    Default_SMS_Number_Port =
    Default_URL_Content_Download =
    JSR135_Volume = 7
    JavaHeapSize = 4
    JavaOtaPostTimes = 20
    JavaOtaTimeout = 5

    Not quite sure about the number=heapsize code right now.
    You find that ezx_system file in the CG43.smg

    I already did it, and it worked, not as I wanted it, but some games that gave me the error "out of memory" now works pretty well, it's a shame that didn't work for games like Resident evil The Missions 3D, any other way to improve this? or Moto V8 doesn't run any heavy 3D game? thanks

    EDIT: This are the numbers, if u wanna give it a try:

    1- 512 KB
    2 - 768 KB
    3 - 1024 KB
    4 - 2048 KB
    5 - 4096 KB
    6 - No limit

    By default, Moto V8 it's number 3.

    Thanks for that. An even easier way to do it, without having to flash etc is to use FTP.

    Go to /ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup

    copy the ezx_system.cfg file to your HDD.
    Take a backup of it.
    Open it in Wordpad.
    Edit the heap size to 5
    Save.
    Overwrite the file on the phone with it.
    Reboot the phone.

    And that's it .

    For more info, read this thread, as the procedure is very similar.

    Thanks ras for the heap size location and Saman0suke for the heap code .

    Now my Heap size is finally 4096K woot.

    No problempretty weird that my phone was set to 3 (1024) anyway, this is better than nothing I tried Nescube on V8 and it works with the Heap java memory edit, I used castlevania and runs enough to be played, give it a try

    Nicemaybe this is not the correct thread, but, I was doing a research on internet,and I found a site where they have mpkg apps like Mplayer,for Z6, this could be installed on V8 as well?

    That has been asked a couple of times already. The answer is no. I can't remember the details but. Haven't really looked into it.

    Back on topic, I tried number 6 (no limit). It in fact is no heap memory and NOT no limit. So setting it like that, no app will run. 5 (4096K) is the best .
