There is not much wrong with mpkg installation on V8, but there are a few points which made me decide against it. Once those have been solved mpkg can happily coexist with the Basic Plus Package Manager.

Memory Card USB Setting is a very sensitive setting, any little activity on the User Memory caused by the V8 and the V8 freezes.
Best is to use FTP. Does the same thing but without trouble.
Those are not files they are folders. Your Windows Explorer will not show them, you need FTP connection for that.
Set the USB Setting to Modem, then connect the USB cable from the PC to the V8, now press the "USB-Lan" menu in Settings main menu and the "Yes". Now open a FTP software and you need these settings.
ftp server: 192.168.16.2
port: 21
username: root
password: root
or alternatively use Windows Explorer and enter "ftp://root@192.168.16.2" in the address bar.
Now you have FTP access to the V8 and can find those folders.

After flashing this firmware and flashing my language pack, the LP0039e, i still have the same problems of Evo3...
- If i use any accents in my words i am reduced to only 70 characters per message.
- The voice commands don't work...the phone asks for the voice command but then says that the phone is locked.
Besides these problems, looks like a great firmware.

The 70 characters per message is because the SMS is sent then in unicode format. You cannot change this.

Thanks Semseddin for the signature and avatar.

Yes i am trying because i enjoy much more this altered firmware than the original one
It is sad not to be able to send 160 characters in a message. Is either that or writing without accentuation that in Portuguese makes a lot of difference in the meaning of a sentence.
If with the OFW its possible to send messages with 160 characters, there must be a way to solve this problem in the CFW...
But unfortunately i probably will go back to the OFW...i don't know what more can i do

I use english for sms and I wrote a sms with 170 characters. In the top right corner it said SMS: 170/2 (changeover was at 160 to 161). So I send this 170 character sms to myself (from one V8 to another V8). Only one message send , only one message recieved with all 170 characters.

Im using Basic Plus everything works fine beside MPlayer.
This is what im doing and still doesnt work:
-copy MPlayer.rar to /ezxlocal/download/mystuff/Programms
-use Arcman and "extract here"
-restart phone
-open MPlayer...not starting.
