    It seems very strange!

It is not my intension to oppose or criticize the educated
opinion of any member of this forum. I say that in advance,
whereas I admit that I'm a novice in the field.

But it seems very strange to me - from the quick survey of various posts - that, whenever modding of the V8 is concerned, everybody talks about flashing.

Even for the simplest task one must resort to bulk flashing?
I wander, there is not a simple tool for a simple mod in the V8 ?
For example, for almost any cellphone currently on the market, there is a file manager, for erasing , renaming or moving files around. There is no such thing in the V8? (Apart from the pre-installed, which is more a folder than an application.)

I posted a question, a few days ago, about deleting ringtones, and a received a negative reply from friend Xtian89 (I thank him for his attention).
One would expect the V8 (as Linux-based) to be more flexible than the V9 e.g., where one had the P2k Commander.

Thank you for your attention and response.

    Well, me again :P

But it seems very strange to me - from the quick survey of various posts - that, whenever modding of the V8 is concerned, everybody talks about flashing.
But here, the key is flashing. Itīs not like p2k phones where all that you get after flashing is some nice skins, java apps with full access, unlimited video recording in mp4, the possiblility of changing the external wallpaper screen, and perhaps, some other things without much importance...

In Moto linux phones, you will get all i said, and much more. The key is in the native applications. But i donīt know how many apps are available for V8.
Someone who has an v8 will tell you better than me
