after you partition sd, did you format it? third option of vFdisk. If you did that, I really don´t know what can be, try partition again the sd.

wav reminder option did't work too. The java heap size option and backlight has wrong info for example - backlight shows the java heap size and the java heap size shows blank space. Sometimes backlight goes off when browsing trough the phone.

simba4, my mistake, I do not check english set of v8manager, but, it works anyway, just bad direction of setconfig text. backlights goes off because of funlights I think. nothing I can do. I leave you and for all a patch.ins that solves the problems you mentioned. extrar the rar file, and then copy patch.ins file into anywhere you want and execute it from the phone.

after minimizing taskmanager what's the key for bringing it back to front?

while watching video (i love them simpson's i closed the phone. when i opened it again the video was still playing but i had no control over mplayer (couldn't shut it down). when pressing keys i saw main menu emerging for a split second...

another question. Ellysseum has option to add mpkg to main menu, i mean icons and remove those too. Is there a way to do this here.

yes, but it works in this way:

- with motodesk OFF
When you install an mpkg it appear in main menu automatically after you refresh.
now, you can, move it to for example "java & apps" folder or to other place. Or, you can delete that entry with vMenuEditor(4).mpkg and open MPKG from vInstaller or with z6Manager.
Or, if you have a lot, you can delete UserMenuTree file, and all mpkg will go to java & apps folder faster. /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/am/UserMenuTree

- with motodesk ON

Same process, but it is no need to refresh after install, and motodesk open submenues/subfolders faster if they have a lot of items.

if you want elysseum method to install mpkg I can help you, the thing is that elysseum works different than Linuxmods. But it is possible.

change the language to another, and then change it again to english. doing that you will set default values to all options. Java heap size will show ----- again, but now again you can change it to our personal value and all will be fine. maybe funlights and motodesk change to deactivated too. i recomnd deactivate them before change languaje.

about v8manager language, you can change it pressing option button and then change language (cambiar lenguaje). select english and that´s it.

with vInstaller ?
1) do as suggested by Triforce
2) Install pep packeges (if avilable to V8) vInstaller has bug of not adding it to main menu ! but available to execute in vInstaller. Will be fixed soon.
3) make a folder into the main menu, for example 'viju' & add following line to the application's desktop.ini (for mpkg)

FolderNeme = viju

Application will be added to that folder.

basically they are same but V8 require some more ini files , in case Z6 skin do not have those ini files then that skin will be loaded with default values.

it's too bad i can't get the task manager via shortcut (like the ctrl+shift+esc in windows).

been messing with skins and most of them work fine. the only problem is i can't figure out how to change default icons for v8manager, vinstaller, z6manager and bluetooth?

furthermore, tried changing menu to 5 * 5, and it looks great, but how do i change the positioning of the cursor. when i press menu button it is positioned at the end of the first row, and i want it at he beggining of the second row.

yes, you need a few more ini files as vijushimpi said, but don´t woory, because all missing files will be read from alkali.

Not posible, and there are´not more firmwares updates by motorola, so 99% impossible.

You have to open it again manually. Or if you have motodesk, you can set it to a button editings an cfg file.

It is a bug of mplayer. Two ways of kill it. wait for the end of the video, or remove the battery. No other.
