Razr 2 V8 Rose gold edition saving contacts to pc help

I broke my phone in half, but i guess it stills works cus i can make calls but since the top half is missing i cant hear anything lol, but i want to save my contacts to my pc or transfer them to my razr v3i, if i want to save them to my pc how would i get to connect and click on memory, i dont remmeber which way to click, or how can i get them to my v3i btw my contacts were saved to my phone and not my sim card i have cingular

It seems to be very hard of solving without the phone screen :S

Check which is your current connection mode, and try synchronizing with Mobile Phone Tools

I dont think there is a way of checking since i no longer have a screen. I have already tried to sync with Motorola Phone tools, but no luck

If i had a V8, i would tell the you the key presses step by step from the startup which would help you to set the connection to modem mode so that Motorola phone tools could detect your phone and save contacts.

ok, ill give you the instructions. this is from my V8, which is completely stock. Its R601_G_80.5461R AND GSQLID0HGIN065. Hope that doesnt cause a big prob.

enter the menu. MOTOMUSIC is highlighted. now press down, and press right.. press the center key. then press 3 to enter the third option. press down once, and click enter. we have now entered the USB connection type. they are ordered as
1. media sync
2. memry device
3. modem
4. usb printing.

but if it was already set to mass memory, MPT should detect it.

hoping that you dont have more contacts that your sim can handle, is the other way to copy all contacts to the sim: enter the phonebook, pres the LSK for options, press down 9 times, to enter the manage contacts sub-menu. press down once to highlight copy all to sim-card. that should do it.
