v8 2gb lux ed, so hot melted sim card

Okay, so I bought a 2gb razr v8 luxury edition, person said it had a dead battery. I but the bx50 out of my v9 into it, and it turned on, all good. But the phone got rather hot on the back just below the battery pins, so I turned it off. Now it will only turn on sometimes, when I plug it into the charger with the bx40 nothing happens. With the bx50 it starts up, all good. just gets EXTREMELY hot, so hot it actually melted my sim card enough to make it warped. I pulled the phone apart, checked that the cable was plugged into motherboard properly, it appears that its the first silver box on the motherboard directly in front of the battery pins that is the issue. Is there any way I can fix this?

It is heated, is pulling more energy than normal, the BX50 has more amps or more energy than the BX40, please do not use the BX50, use the one that comes with the phone

Oh okay, Thanks. I was told they were inter-changeable, what are the battery upgrades I can use with the v8 while keeping the original battery door?

If you need to keep your original battery V8

If you put the BX40 on the V9, spend the same or on and off

Okay, so I put the dead BX40 back into the v8, and put it onto the charger, nothing happened. So I plugged it into my usb charger, and the charge light comes on but nothing else happens, yet if I do the same with my v9 using the bx40 I can still turn the phone on. Why will the v8 only work with the bx50, if it is not the correct battery? Would buying a new bx40 battery be worth a try?
