hi if you use linux, you can use packIconRes
it is simpler..
first unpack, unpackIconRes
after that you can use convert all files using ImageMagick (to png or gif i guess)
then repack icon, using single command line ^^

when you run under linux, it will need cygwin and perl
PS: to my knowledge V8 have problem for animated icons

yep it is perl script and it works for me..
i have unpacked and repacked orange skin w/o problem
maybe you have wrong path location
Update: unpackIconRes does not works for some iconres....

I was using old version -- 1.04
newer version works

I used the old 1.04 version and that did not worked very well. Only extracted them as "filename.k.gif" and they could not be opened or edited.
Would be great if you could post the newer version, thanks!

the author forget to increase version number..
so i renumbered to 2.0

Look for MotoLinux Iconres Composer 1.1 instead.
A lot has changed since this thread was started.
