    hi if you use linux, you can use packIconRes
    it is simpler..

    first unpack, unpackIconRes
    after that you can use convert all files using ImageMagick (to png or gif i guess)
    then repack icon, using single command line ^^

    "Iconres.ezx Packager for A780 and E680i V$version\n";
    "Create by aKe base on yantz @ hofo & MFC Motoezxse\n";
    "on Sep 2005 Bangkok, Thailand\n\n";

    when you run under linux, it will need cygwin and perl

    PS: to my knowledge V8 have problem for animated icons

    It is a Perl script, you can run it under Windows as well after installing Perl.
    Been there, done that and does not work with V8 iconres.ezx.

    i have unpacked and repacked orange skin w/o problem
    maybe you have wrong path location

    Update: unpackIconRes does not works for some iconres....
    Plush iconres unpacked incorrectly

    Update: unpackIconRes works for all iconres...
    I was using old version -- 1.04
    newer version works
    If you want the script I can post it

    I used the old 1.04 version and that did not worked very well. Only extracted them as "filename.k.gif" and they could not be opened or edited.
    Would be great if you could post the newer version, thanks!
    Will try that one then.

    Look for MotoLinux Iconres Composer 1.1 instead.
    A lot has changed since this thread was started.
