extended battery and door

i dont know if this question has been asked before but does anyone know if the v9m battery door is the same as the v8 because motorola makes a extended battery and door for the v9m i know the color would be different thanks i already tried searching but was not able to come up with anything

No, they are different. I have both, and the 9 door is longer. NOW...having both, and quickly finding that the V8 battery totally sux (mine shipped with battery BX40) I did find that the V9 battery (BX50) will fit in the V8...and lasts considerably longer. It's a tight fit...but it does go. Where are you finding this extended door?

its on amazon its a set with a bx80 battery and the extended door thanks for your help

Thanks for the info, I'm going to order that. I know the V9 + the V9m are the exact same size. I have some of those vinyl V-skins laying around, so the color dif. dont matter if I can get more juice outta the thing. Be sure to post up if you find one for the V8...I will as well

I'm also having problems with my v8 battery. Do you think buying the bx80 could fix this issue?

yea..if you can find a door for the V8. So far, the only doors out there seem too be for the V9/9m. As I said, the BX50 will fit in the V8, it's pretty tight, but the BX80 needs the extended door.

now, i make, i bought the BX80 + the extended door & it totally works for the V8 it costs about 40$ + 15$ (Battery + the extended door)...

Could You please tell us how much bigger (in milimeters relative to the standard 11 mm) the phone gets when using the extended battery + cover (and possibly attach a photo)?

well, first it's really fits the V8, V9 & V9m & it's even designed by motorola for any razr2 , u can checkin here

for the picture, i can't provide one now but i will try soon but it;s lie 12.8 mm width, some ppl say it's little ugly, but i think it perfect specially when u r talking.... & now my battery life gives up to 5 days light use & 4 days for normal use.....

i like my p790 i just dont like the fact that it has to be connected through the adapter...what the heck was moto thinking???
it provides a charge and a half for my v8 and can be plugged into the wall, travel or even cigarette lighter simultaneously...only fyi
