    Bluetooth Feature

First off I want to say "Hello" to everyone.

Secondly I want to come clean and state that yes... I am a newbie at this whole world of modding cellphones, and really dont quite yet comprehend much of the technical terminology Ive read so far in the forums. Im hoping it'll come to me soon.

Well here is my first question with regards to the Bluetooth on my phone. I have a brand new V9 unbranded GSM Euro model in the charcoal gray color. However, my Bluetooth feature does not seem to be working. According to the menu and commands, it is turned on, and displays as such; but when I go to "add audio device" nothing is found despite my the fact that Bluetooth accessories are right by it and turned on as well so to be detected.

Also, turning things around, when attempting to locate my V9 using other Bluetooth capable cell phones, they (the other phones) detect everything else in the atrea, but not my V9.

My question is if there is something I have to program for Bluetooth to work in the US for this phone since it's from Europe?

I wonder since my text messaging at first didnt work until something in it was updated. So I figure maybe the same thing has to happen for Bluetooth to work and detect or be detected?

    Please help.
    Thanks in advance to everyone.

If it's brand new as you say, then perhaps you ought to take it back to the dealer and get the bluetooth problem checked out. They might even swap it for another phone if it's only a few old.

BTW, With your V9 and another phone B/T on, have you actually tried sending a Pic or Music track, rather than just trying to find B/T devices? Make sure that "Find Me" is set to on, as well.

I had this problem as well - exactly the same problem, other things could not detect my phone when searching for devices but could detect it when they targeted my phone directly.

    Two solutions:
    A) Before you use bluetooth, turn the phone off and remove battery for 5 sec. Then put it back on and right away use bluetooth.

    B) Upgrade firmware to the latest ones. (R263313-AS_U_A0.03.2FR) I got no problems since using new firmwares (R263313(-AS)_U_A0.03.1xx and newer). Read the before you mod guide.

Thanks Semseddin for the signature and avatar.
