Motorola V9 Help needed

Thanks for that. I presume this can be done with F&B 3.0.7 and if so how are the 2 combined?

In Firmwares tab, Select the 7.90 MP to flash CG's 2, 4 & 15 from and delete all but these. To replace the RAMDLR, click on Select RAMDLR and browse for your RAMDLR previously split from your 5.80 firmware. Alternatively, I think if you select the "Newer" profile, you could click on the "From Active Profile" button and it will use the default Newer (5.80) profile.

Now, click on Quick Flash. Hopefully to success.

Thanks for that. However how do I split the RAMDLR from the 05.80 firmware, as that is the one issue I am not sure of? Do I use F&B to do it? Also have you tried any of the 07.90 firmwares and if so is it worth flashing the CG2, CG4 & CG15 from them, especially the original factory default one which I would use.

Ok use SBF-Recalc for splitting the firmware. It will accept firmware in SBF or SHX format. First open the firmware to split, then click on Split Flashfile. Wait for it to split. The resultant files are in .SMG format. Keep SBF-Recalc open and then open FB3. Follow my previous instructions to select the split RAMDLR from where it has been saved. Enter the Start Address for it when prompted, as listed in SBF-Recalc, (Not the address listed in FB3). The RAMDLR should now be replaced with the one you split. You are now ready to do Quickflash.

Many thanks for the info Acguru but as I'm having difficulties understanding which is which in SBF Recalc I've decided not to go this route. However I see that Skrilax has added the factory build to his sig (R263313M_U_A0.00.2AE). Question is this firmware compatable with the 05.80 bootloader and secondly will it replace either R263313_U_A0.03.1DR or R263313_U_A0.03.24R3? Or will I be only able to flash the CG2, CG4 & CG15 using FB3?

Many thanks for the info Acguru but as I'm having difficulties understanding which is which in SBF Recalc I've decided not to go this route. However I see that Skrilax has added the factory build to his sig (R263313M_U_A0.00.2AE). Question is this firmware compatable with the 05.80 bootloader and secondly will it replace either R263313_U_A0.03.1DR or R263313_U_A0.03.24R3? Or will I be only able to flash the CG2, CG4 & CG15 using FB3?

R263313 firmwares are compatible with 05.80 bootloader.

I don't think R263313M is unstickier but you won't lose a thing by trying it

Thanks Skrilax. Before I do try this, has anyone tried to install the R263313M factory build firmware? If so what was their firmware before they done it and was it a success, as I do not want to be the first to brick my phone with it?

I'll flash it, give me a while to charge my V9 though

Edit: Flashed it twice using RSD Lite and it didnt work. Someone else might have better luck if they're on a lower generation firmware (a0.01, a0.02)

I did notice the RAMDLD version is different on that firmware though, its 0570 instead of the regular 05F4 but it will flash ok on R263313

Edit2: I just opened it in FB 3 and the addresses are very different from R263313 3rd Gen and R263311 and R263311M so i don't know what the deal is, its probably a Factory prototype firmware for the Euro V9, no CG works on the R263313 3rd gen firmware. It does, also, have a wierd CG5 with address A0018000 which is lower than the Firmware (A0080000). Its only 344 bytes in size though

The offsets of the R263313M are matching to the R263313 OLDER (except CG5). So I guess it is only for those phones. The CG5 exists on our phones also, just mod the profile and take a backup A0018000 - A001FFFF. Still I wonder what is on A0002000 - A0003FFFF.

I think my question regards the R263313M firmware is answered. Then again I could be wrong. It seems the R263313 newer firmwares (like 03.1DR & 03.24R3) cannot be replaced with this one, unless someone has been successful with it. If so what was the firmware on the phone before the successful flash? If not can rither of these be completely replaced in particular the R263313_U_A0.03.1DR?
