[Guide] Flashing And Making Backup of Your Z6

The BEST way to flash the Linux Motorola's is to use RSD Lite 3.9, or higher

This is the way i Flash my Linux Motorola's
i would not recommend using Flash&Back up 3

(try to avoid RSD Lite 4.1)
Please DO NOT request ANY RSD Lite
To find the NEWEST RSD Lite search Google or 4Shared


Next, install the NEWEST Motorola Drivers from MotoDev

Now, choose the NEWEST Reflash, that allows External Skin to be added,



Flashing,

Once you have the above 3 your ready to Flash your Motorola, and your Battery is FULLY charged.

Connect the phone to the PC with the USB cable, making sure the phone is in Modem Mode,
(this can be checked by going, Main Menu> Settings> Connections> USB Settings> then select Modem.)

Now start RSD Lite.
wait for it to find your Phone,




Now you need to choose the file you want to flash,




Once you've selected the right flash, you can press Start,
Let RSD Lite go through the Flashing cycle,











Your Phone will Re-Start, DON'T disconnect until the Result is PASS.

Congratulations, You've Flashed Your Phone

The BEST How To Make A FULL FUNCTIONAL Backup
Tools needed:
Flash n Backup 3.0.7 ONLY
Profiles 'N Loaders Z6
Patch Flash 'N Backup To Make It Able To Make A Full Backup

1-Install flash n backup 3.0.7
2-Extract ROKR Z6 Profile & Loader.zip and two files will appear in the same folder: ["Z6 (A3CC).ldr" y "R60_Z6.prof"]
Then look for this folder: "C:\Program Files\Motorola Tools\Flash&Backup 3" and u will see this two folders: Loaders n Profiles.
put Z6 (A3CC).ldr in Loaders folder and R60_Z6.prof in Profiles.
3-Extract file "Parche para F&B 3.0.7.zip" and a folder with 3 files will be created. put this 3 files in "C:\Program Files\Motorola Tools\Flash&Backup 3"
4-Excecute file "fb3hook.exe".


Create a Backup:
1-Connect cellphone in bootloader mode (#+*+END) and select Z6 profile.



2-Click in READ INFO.(note:Language Pack is only CG46
3-Select .sbf Binary File
4-Press "SELECT ALL" button (ONLY IF U WANT TO MAKE A FULL BACKUP, IN THIS CASE WE ARE MAKING A LANGUAGE PACK BACKUP)
5-Click in the "READ INFO" button.
6-The program will always say that an error ocurred but this is cuz its designed for P2K phones but the backup will work perfectly okey

I am little confused mate, you hav written to chose a new "reflash" can u tell me when and from where am I supposed to do that?

and has
AP S/W version: R60_G_80.31.17R
BP S/W Version: r60_g_80.31.17r

i need new skins in my phone and for that i need to flash my phone but i have no idea of how to do it, pls help me...

@ rocky_42k there are LinuxMod Reflashes about in this forum,
you'll need to flash one of there to your Z^ to be able to add new skins

RSDLite 4.1.exe -> Virus file / unreal RSD
RSDLite 4.1.msi -> work OK

U mean just install file (from where u install program), who can somebody google it maybe will be a virus, but i have already installed RSD Lite 4.1 and have no problems at all

So u must warn ppl not to avoid RSDLite 4.1, u must warn them to scan every file, who google it for viruses first. Cuz anybody can re-name a virus to RSDLite 3.9.exe and ppl must avoid this version to? I dont think so

As somebody pointed out if you remove RSDUpdater.exe some thing like that manually , you can use RSDLite 4.1 & I'm using it, none of other version worked for me !
