Z6 & Z6w firmwares Superthread

Hi guys.

So I'm going to try and flash my Z6W using the Orange Poland firmware.

I've got two questions.

1. I've currently got a LOCKED FIDO Z6W phone, would flashing the LOCKED Orange Poland firmware change the subsidy lock to Orange Poland's or remain Fido?

2. I've been reading about language packs and stuff, but what exactly needs to be done? Does the Orange Poland firmware not come with English as an option? Do I need to extract the english pack from the FIDO firmware? If yes, then how?

1- Yes, it will lock your phone to Orange.
You need to unlock the firmware
In the 1st post of this thread, it explains how to remove the subsidy code of a locked fw

2- Don´t worry. All language packs have english included by default

Does the z6w Orange firmware lock the wifi for browsing? Because I read somewhere if you upgrade the boot-loader you can not downgrade it. I really don't want to upgrade and load a firmware that is worst than what I have (centennial)

If you don´t have Orange, then first you have to unlock the firmware
Read the guide How to remove a subsidy lock from the firmware flashfile: which also is in the first post of this thread

I read somewhere if you upgrade the boot-loader you can not downgrade it

I only see one bootloader version for z6w (06.2a), so you cannot upgrade it because there is not another existing boot version for your phone

there is 06.29 there is a guide somewhere here that tells you how to upgrade to 06.2a but I don't want to do it unless someone can confirm that i'll be able to use the wifi. there is also a noRSA 06.2a somewhere here as well

The wait is over. FIDO Z6w owners now have a template to refer to when modding their phones.

do you have linuxmod or some thing like that i found another flash but dont have the wifi options and the games and app folder desapear and the games save in tools hahaha
i can use mi mp3 as ringtone al is good instead of that apps problem and wifi and do you know were is a lang pack i can istall to this fone that has spanish ? ? ? hehe thnks :P

Is any possibility to extract language pack from orginal firmware using SBF-recalc or any other program? Please, help!

Ok, Pzyduck but I'm total greenhorn in mobile softs editing . I can read, write, click some buttons but it isn't enough to extract LP from firmware. If you would write how I can make this extraction, I'll be realy greatful.

Hi All,

I have a Z6w with bootloader version 02.E0. When I try to flash bootloader 06.2A norsa, rsd lite shows error "Unable to retrieve RAM downloader for flash bootloader checksum.device API error 0Xe0030009 command RQRC......".

what is going wrong?
Also the Rapidshare link seems to no longer exist. Any mirror available for these files?
