Linuxmod 4 - A FW for everybody !!

Regards for you all, finally after much wait, here it is, the new LinuxMod 4; in this ocasion we wanted to consider the suggestions of all M3 comunity, and to try of applying those ideas in this version.

Before starting, why a beta version after of this long wait? Well, first, because we worked hard for the improvements that were made, and we were still working to achieve the compilation in jffs2 (to make it editable), unfortunately, we are having less time and such compilation is too hard, that´s why we decided to release the Beta version, so all of you can test it and then you report us your observations. There are some details in the skin that Anteux will fix, those will stay as an update.

To report the Bugs, please be specific when informing some detail; don´t write “IT DOESN´T WORK”, we need to know exactly what is what is not working, in what conditions, what version you use, what SD card, etc.

WARNING: USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, M3 NOR ANOTHER MEMBER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE OF SOME DAMAGE CAUSED FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS CORRECTLY

The most important changes are these:

- New loading of LinXtend, now it charges at booting, it means, you install an stock Firmware, then the LM4 and ready!, no more data erasing (Master Clear).
- Improved Z6Manager: optimized scripts and added new funtions, custom font, swap improved: now you can select between SD swapping or internal swapping. Motodesk at start up, you can enable it when booting or disable it.
- Improved Z6Tweaker, some scripts were optimized, menu vibration libraries were rewritten: now it does not slow the phone; added a tool to choose the folder for transfering thru BT (Only for SDHC cards)
- Improved zNotepad, to load with no problems.
- Created a new utility named DM_Daemon: this allows to receive the BT transferences (Only for SDHC cards) and send them to the specified folder we have chosen.
- Created a shortcut to SD in Files Manager with support of data writing: now you can delete, copy files, etc (Only for SDHC cards)
- MotoDesk: this merits an special mention. Ffede worked hard to improve the motoDesk features, now you can disable/enable gadgets such as System Info, zNotepad, Calendar, Clock; and when disabled, it also disables the background of the gadget: this allows to have them of an independient way; will be needed to create new MotoDesk masks, there are included 2 for testing. Also it installed the folder “screen” in the SD for loading the masks, this saves space in the internal phone memory.
- Back Up & Restore improved, for making a back up of our info and settings, and restore them after flashing, very useful for not losing information.
- Mplayer as stock media placer, now you can play any video file in your z6.
- Included zFileManager as a Files Manager, zTextViewer as text editor, zFlashOn, zPhoneFirewall for blocking calls, and the zWap for installing websessions.

Now it comes the recommendations: you must have NoRsa bootloader, then flash some an stock Firmware, and finally the LM4, format Sd card and ready!

If for some reason you need to do a Master Clear, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you disable in the z6Manager the custom font and disable MotoDesk from the starting up; reboot the phone and, after that, do the master clear. Why?, well, due to the custom font impedes to do the master clear, because when doing the master clear, it deletes the folder where the font is located, and as it is currenlty in use, it cannot be deleted, and then the phone will get stuck. MotoDesk must be disabled at the start up, to disable the symlink of the folder “screen” of the SD, or else, when deleting the folder of the MotoDesk, the content of the folder screen will be deleted too, due to they are linked one to each other, and you will lose all motoDesk masks.

He dedicated much time to the binaries of MotoDesk, Back Up & Restore, zNotepad, z6Manager, z6Tweaker, menu vibration libraries, and the new LinXtend.

Thanks to [MENTION=1856501]LuiisM[/MENTION] too, who helped us with the winserver, compilation and many hours of technical issues.

[MENTION=1345681]Anteux[/MENTION], for editing the new Alkali, that incluyes icons, gifs, inis, etc, and especially the data size reduction, so we were able to install more stuff, and with [MENTION=3041087]uriel_zo[/MENTION], with the hours of technical questions, [MENTION=1896281]slash1092[/MENTION] with the creation of new graphics. The bootlogo and the power up images of LinXtend were made by slash1092.

Thanks to beta-testers, who helped us in testing, reviews, etc.

If Z6 Tweaker, Z6 Manager and Tweaks to support Chinese, this package will be popular in China!
