More than one custom Skin

Hi,

its just that simple that i could slap my self... anf if anyone said it before, just slap me to death.

1. As described in some other threads, add a skin via mytheme.phm.

2. Go to 'themes' in your z6, select the new skin and just hit 'options' and 'Create a Copy'.

3. Give the child a name of your choice and enjoy havin a new skin.

4. Add an other skin via an other mytheme.phm. Repeat steps 1-3 and enjoy havin some more themes.

Hints:
Use a subdir for every new skin. Just like ..../mytheme/USL for the USL-Theme.
After copy just leave it. Dont touch it or your skin will disapear.
Personaly i put all mytheme.phm in die mytheme folder and rename them to mytheme.$skinname.phm.

And if it dosn't work for you: why just having many mytheme.phm in the dir and just rename them like mytheme.$skinname.phm.
And if you want to use it, just rename it to mytheme.phm with the filebrowser of your z6.

HEy archer have u gotten this to work and if yes where do u put the 2nd skin being that u cant have 2 mytheme.phm in the same folder?

I got it to work thanx man ure the man thats so smart and yet so simple lol.
I hadnt really tried it yet so now is that i thought about it.

Yeah you want to have the one twice... one that will stay and one that will just disappear when you put an other mytheme.phm in your skins folder And then a new Skin will show up.
So you have one skin twice for a short time, but got one 'static' skin an one dynamic. Isn't that the idea of installing something?

yea i meant something else.once i turned off the phone the copy skin dissapeared

Yea i tested this out man and theres one bad thing the 2nd skin stays there but it goes back to the akali skin after u turn off the phone can anyone check this out to c if its only me.

Same mp as you im going to flash it again to c what happens.

look what i do i take the custom skin i have then i create a copy of it then i go into mytheme and take out the files in there then i add another skin and stay with that one am i doing anything wrong

Did you delete the skindir?
Cause if you did its no suprise to see...äh nothing
I just left anything there and renamed the mytheme.phm to mytheme.usl.phm so i have the mytheme.phm everytime i need it on my phone.
The same problem you described i saw when i switched to a theme with an incorrect directory in the mytheme.phm. So maybe the themefiles cant be found after the reboot, so it just switcht to a standart theme.

ook i got it 2 work heres what u do in case u dont get it.


1.install a skin 1st
2.copy the skin on to ure phone
3.chose another skin like akali
4.go into ure mytheme folder when connected on ure pc.
5.rename the mytheme.phm to mytheme.usl.phm
6.enter another skin yes with both the folder and the mytheme.phm
7.ure done just do this over to add more skins just make sure u leave the skins files in ure mytheme folder and if u want to add another just give the mytheme.phm another name like mytheme.bro.phm
