    Moto reception

I recently hooked my V3 razr up to my laptop with the motorola mobile phone tools cd. once i had hooked it up i went from little to no reception to near perfect. the laptop is on wireless internet so i figured it is either somehow using the internet to make calls or it is using the wireless router as a repeater. but in either case would AT&T be charging me data charges? i know its kind of confusing but i just want to make sure i dont get a huge bill at the end of the month.

Did you actually make calls over the PC or do you mean that reception went up as if the laptop was functioning as a super antennae?

well i dialed using the mock phone the pops up on the side of the screen. this in turn made my cell dial out the number. i could also dial the cell directly.

Now that i think of it, it could be because the phone is charging while hooked up to the computer.
