umm
i have a problem.

i have an l6,
and when i use randomshx, it comes up with o.bin-to 7.bin.
well actually, the files are called:2008-07-22_1603280, then only the 0 on the end changes, but it only goes up to 7.

so it says that the number 8 one is the cg18 file.

what do i do

your going in the right direction...whats the next step the guide says to do? and why are you using randomshx and not randomrsa? (or was that a typo?)
ALSO just out of curiosity, why are we using the "old guide" ? have you tried to use THIS guide? (it does say "for L7" but should work the same, i would think)
if you still need some explaination id suggest reading up in the L6 forum (HERE) !

hey,

the problem is that randomshx only makes 7 .bin files, and the number 8 one is the cg18.

i tried flashing my phone's contents with f&b again, but it did the same thing- when i use randomshx, it makes o-7.bin.i tried that other guide but after i flashed it to my phone, my phone didnt work. no worry tho, i just re flashed my backup.

why is this?

im not that familiar with the L6 but i think either its not a full MP or it skipped a CG... have you checked the size and compared it to the split CG?

yea, the bin files add up to 15 mb but the full shx is 35.

Help please! When I click RSA button of "RandomRSA2" software, it says "These files cannot be patched!" What can I do??:-(

They say this worked on L7, V360, L6, and V3i. Well, I have only tested it on my L7 and it worked. I have not tested it on others so do it at your own risk. You are responsible for what you are doing.

1. Open RandomSHX, click "Extract BIN files from SHX," and select your MP or backup.

Extracted BIN files order are *0.bin (header), *1.bin (Ramdlr), *2.bin (CG1), *3.bin (CG2), *4.bin (CG3), *5.bin (CG4), *6.bin (CG7), *7.bin (CG15), and *8.bin (CG18).

2. Open RandomRSA2 and put 11F80000 for L7 or 12F80000 for V3.

3. Then on the CG1, select the extracted *2.bin file, *6.bin file for CG7, and *8.bin file for CG18.

4. Click the RSA box just below CG18 and close the program.

5. Now recompile the bin files with RandomSHX.

6. Take a deep breath, relax, and just flash the new MP using Flash&Backup3

good job. your bootloader is 0A.20 right? because it does not work on 0A.52.

What is it you're trying to do, may I ask? Downgrade your bootloader to 0A.30 by hard TP method & you shouldn't have a problem with the rest.
