just to add a little extra to the skin, here are two versions of the outer screen images without the 'jiangatan' logo, so you can choose to customize your phone with your own name.. haha
just renamed the file logo_motorola.png and compress it back into your iconres file
Great work man! Best skin ever!
I even have the same wallpaper on my pc :P
I've been trying to insert the new logos.
I tried to open the iconres with the MotoLinux Iconres Composer 1.1, and it always hangs up. So I unpacked the Iconres with the 1.0 version (Iconres-tool) and then re-packed it with the 1.1, but somehow it gets brighter...
Besides of that, it works great. You should advice people to install it on the phone's memory. If you do it in the SD, after a reboot fonts become dark, and other transparencies bugs occur. All this on a V8 with LinuxMod 3a.
PD: It would be great to have that 'V8 fighting' gif as a startup animation :P
PD2: I noticed that when using your skin from the internal memory (dunno the SD), i cant access both (internal, and SD) drives from my pc when using the USB cable. It just recognizes one, after that, the phone freezes and I need to take it's battery off. Am I the only one with this problem? Any suggestions?
hey man, im assuming you are using the 2GB V8? i dun really know how that one works, cause im using the 512mb version, and there's only one memory partition... and i've never had the transparency/brightness prob..
n generally with external skins.. the phone freezes when you connect it to the comp in file storage mode, the prob goes away when i put it in modem mode.. or you can just flash a custom CG52 with this skin and that will fix the prob entirely..
i might turn that fighting GIF into a startup sometime down the line, hahaha, isn't as easy as it sounds, loll [i didn't make it, so i dont have the original frames]
Yes I'm using the 2GB V8, and the partition with the skin is the one that I can't access. The phone freezes anyway. I'm going to find some tutorial to add it to the CG52 then.
And the brightness thing might be because I'm extracting with one app and packing with another.
Don't know what went wrong, but for some reason I do have the skin wallpaper on the startscreen, but on my main and other menu I still have the wallpaper from the LinuxMod firmware.
I hope the pictures will clearify this!!
Can you please help me with this?
Thnx,
René
Update:
OK, not that I didn't reboot the V8 a couple a times, but after the last reboot the wallpaper is shown.
So problem solved...
