hello, im im kinda new in this page, iv been flashing and skinning my VE66 and i was wondering if an novice like me in this area could edit a *.mgs skin.
i dont wanna edit the whole thing or create a brand new one (for now), but've installed a theme in my ve66 and i dont like the signal and battery pictures, i'd prefer the common ve66 looking, so, i could do this with a program??? thanks!.-.-.Bástian.-.-.

Yes you can edit it.
Extract the iconres.ezx from your skin and split all the icons to edit those you want to change. Use Motolinux iconres Composer for splitting them.
Import the new icons by clicking in the button "Import data", and finally, "Create Iconres"

I splitted the inconres but i cannot find either the signal status icons or the battery icons.. :S.-.-.Bástian.-.-.

Signal icons are several png images named singnal_*
and battery levels are named batt_level_*
(The * represents some words else in the name)
Probably, the iconres you are splitting does not contains such images.
The phone replaces missed images of your current iconres with the default icons, from the default iconres.ezx of your firmware. This last one contains ALL icons. It is located in /usr/data_resource/icon

I just tried to use ThemeManager 0.1.1 to install the Theme "Lumix by Julio_MotoMod" found in our download section for ZN-5 themes, and after installing it (running MagX Reloaded) it appears in the list of themes, but when I select to use it the display does not show it properly.
If I deselect it and choose another theme, and then start ThemeManager again and try to uninstall it, I get a message that there is nothing to uninstall. It does not appear in the right pane of the ThemeManager as a user installed theme.
Is there an update for this program, or any hints to make it work to install a theme would be appreciated!
