Thanks to Motocat and Tkalli I am pleased to announce that a flex editor has been created to delete the obsolete skin names of former installed skins. Tha information can be found at Motomodding.us

The Many Features of MotoCat's Flex Editor
MotoCat's Flex Editor will do more than just remove skins.
It will also read the headers of compatible phones.

Hi.
I have a Razr V3re and need some advice on how to use the Flex Editor to remove three unwanted skin names from my phone. I have used FB 3.0.7 to read the cg2 file. Now, I need to know what I need to do next.
Thanks.
Never mind, I had assistance from Dumba. However, I might lend a quick note on what I did:
First I downloaded Flash & Backup 3.0.7 (in the downloads section) After connecting my V3re, I selected the cg2 file (that presumably contained the skins), then I saved it as a *.shx file onto my hard drive. I then used the V3re Flex Editor to edit the backup file and delete the skin(s) I didn't want then I saved the edited file. I opened FB3 again and wrote the edited file from my computer over the existing phone's cg2 file.
And finally my phone listed only 3 skin names instead of the six that were there previously.
Thanks to all, especially Dumba for assisting me in this endeavor.Last edited by AqualungOne; 04-04-2008 at 10:19 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I haven't been on the site in awhile, and man was I glad I checked in! I knew that eventually, someone of our genius members would crack that final nut!
Thanks to all who worked so hard on this issue!
NOW....if we could just get a P2K tool that lists the root of the a:/ drive??

hello everyone.
im having an issue with this subject. i have removed the skin names for an area of my phone (settings>personalize>skin) that went well, but the names are still under "themes" in the mystuff folder. is there a way to remove the ones that i have deleted?
- 09-21-2009, 07:13 PM #14
You can delete themes. They are in the root folder /a/. Browse to them with M-Explorer.

_.__.__._I have retired. If you PM me, I may not reply.
