backup contacts and calendar

I used to use motorola tools to backup my contacts and calendar, but that doesn't work anymore, program connects to my v3re, wen I want to send sms, reads sim and phone memory,show contacts, but as I try to safe contacts,it says it cannot connect o phone.
Can I backup these files with m-explorer and so which files and where are they located?

I don't know about calendar, but you can backup your contacts with P2kTools in AT mode. It's buggy, though.

thanks, could backup my calendar with datapilot under macosx, the contacts not really a problem, I put them all on my sim, put the sim in theother phone and copied them to the phonememory
