Help With V3re Phone

Hi all, I'm also very new to modding etc of phones.

I recently purchased a Motorola RAZR V3 (side of the box says V3ROHS) phone which is unlocked to accept any sim card.

What I'd like to do is to get rid of the Vodafone branding on the phone and what I need to download etc.

I've looked in the download area but am not 100% sure exactly what I need and thought I'd ask for advice first.

After reading the forums for a while it seems helpful if I let you know which version of Boot Loader and Software is on the phone, which is as follows:

Boot Loader: 0C.C1.

SW Version: R3442A_G_0E.41.22R

Most of the MP's for the V3re are for T-Mobile or at&t so i wouldn't recommend using those, but you can edit your mma_ucp to remove the branding yourself.

There are some unbranded flashes. If your phone is locked, which it probably is, flash anything that looks good. If your phone is unlocked, flash only unlocked MPs.

I've so far downloaded Drivers, Flash&Backup 3 (v3.0.7) , P2k tools 3 and some unbranded monster packs from the V3re downloads section.

Drivers have all been installed and the phone is recognised by the programs mentioned above.

I've used Flash&Backup and first thing I did was backup the phone.

Then tried flashing an unlocked monster pack and get the following error on screen:

I used the Flash&Backup program to flash the phone and ticked all the boxes.

Every monster pack I try, I always get this same error.

The backup copy I made goes back onto the phone and works fine.

Another problem is that when using the P2k tools I click on the file manager on the left hand side and click refresh and it appears there are no files/folders on the phone. The program knows the phone is there as you can upload the settings etc from the phone and it does say connected.

My friend has a similar phone and when that is connected there are loads of files listed.

I've spent a long time reading the guides and other posts from members. As I say I'm very new to modding phones.

tell us which MP youre trying to flash.
p2ktools wont read the root folders on v3re. you need another program mexplorer, and the v3re patch file. there is a guide somewhere for using mexplorer to view v3re folders
