Ok, exchanged a V3 for a V3re. Loaded some skins from downloads. But while loading the last skin (MMUS Carbon Skin), I hear a funny noise coming out of my computer. I immediately pulled the usb cable and the sound went off. Later when I restart the phone, it goes into BL mode. So I tried to flash the V3re Repair files (F&B) but before it starts to read the loader, it would turn on and off for like 4 times before it starts to load drivers. After loading drivers it stops @ the Jumper. Cannot erase phone.

In RSD Lite, it powers the phone on/off/on/off/on/off/on/off until I stop it. Cannot read data from phone.

So I performed TP and try to flash the repair files again in blank mode, but it gives a jump error. Looks like it's reading the wrong jump address when flashing in blank mode. In normal BL mode, jumper gives no errors.

Is there any other way to flash the repair files. I'm out of ideas after numerous attempts to revive this worthless s??t.

The most sure fire way to brick the v3re is to unplug while flashing. Wish I had better news for ya. Try THIS GUIDE and if youve tried the repair flashes(with the guide) then Ide say shes dead....

UPDATE: Those are the files I try to flash. Exact problem is described above. Damn...where's Clarkey when we need him...LOLS....

i tried bricking my v3re just for fun, and always can revive it by flashing the backup with f&b. bricking the i dont believe you can seriously brick the v3re beyond repair because it holds all the vital info in a separate area on the phone. in other words you cannot corrupt or erase this area without special tools.

im curoius what info is shown on the bootloader screen..... also i havnt seen BL 0c90 before, must be a new one

Have you tried pulling out the USB cable during the process and see what happens? I tried flashing backup with F&B. It cannot go past jumper.

yep, i tried all sorts of things to totally erase the s/w from the phone. F&B with the v3re(06) profile works every time for me.
does the phone go directly to bootloader mode when turned on??
what is the s/w and bl info, i saw you posted above but im curious if BL 0c90 is a mistake. could be newer version and requires a different profile in f&b.

Same profile I use. V3re (06). Everytime I put the battery on, it goes into bl mode. Even when I try to flash from backup, it cannot pass jumper in Blank mode and cannot erase in normal bl mode. All this in F&B. In RSDLite, it turns the phone on/off continiously.

at this point it looks like either a Moto service centre, or someone with Smartclip could only fix the phone

zedbra I hear what your saying and agree, I tried so many different things on my phone in search of an unlock method and none resulted in a hard brick. I never tried to pull cord out while flashing but saw couple different posts that said that would hard brick the phone and since I wasnt trying to brick it just wanting to unlock it I never tried it to verify the posts were correct, I just took their word for it. So even tho I believe jabbacks phone is hard bricked maybe according to you it isnt. jabbacks keep playing with it maybe it is possible to bring her back to life..... idk?????? Since I have all different phones now I have 2 extra v3re's maybe I'll start playn with it again and see what I can do. LOL

I thought so Zed, if it can be unlocked by box, then the box can fix the PDS. I do believe it is PDS corrupt.

As an idea from days gone long ago. Can you under support on the Hellomoto homepage, download the MotorolaSoftware Update program? Don't use the MSU online, it will just tell you that you have the newest software, lol. The downloaded version, will ask for model, just choose v3, the program checks later anyway. It will then ask for Internet connection at some point, do that. It will relock the phone if it is unlocked via code. But it will repair the PDS.
