This is a spare phone sitting around, so the situation isn't dire. I bricked my L7c by trying to flash it with the wrong firmware, and got the "Flashing failed" message in RSD Lite. The phone screen was stuck on one thing and wasn't responding, so I pulled the battery, and now all it does when I put the battery back in is make the appropriate beeping sounds when I press buttons. Nothing on the screen, and my computer won't recognize it anymore. Pretty much the standard brick scenario.
My question is, is there any way to recover it from this? Or do I now have a toy cell phone that makes cute little beeps to give to my nieces and nephews?
Possibily a new cool paper weight try using Radiocomm to flash to alltel or throw your phone in bootloader mode to see if rsd lite will recognize it and then flash with rsd lite
Radiocomm flashing didn't work, and I can't get it to go into bootloader because literally nothing shows on the screen, not even backlight. I'm basically wondering how they initially get the firmware onto the phone at the factory (because I assume they install it onto blank memory), and if I can replicate that process.
