ModMyMoto.com now has a decent guides section for the V3c/V3m/K1m/L7c! It can be found here:

The guides say they are for a USCC V3c. That's just what I was using when nevarDeath wrote them. They have been confirmed on the V3c/V3m/L7c I can confirm that the "Get Connected and "External LCD Picture" guides work on the K1m, although you may need to use PST 7.2.3 or RSD Lite instead of the PST version listed in the guide

You may notice these say they are for the US Cellular (USCC) V3c. These work fine for most V3c and V3m phones, but they are only 100% guaranteed to work on the USCC V3c. I am also told that RSD Lite works better with the V3m than PST does. There are more guides on the way! If you have an idea for a guide and have done it, write one and submit it for approval to cash7c3!

Please Note that if you are using the Verizon UI on your V3c/V3m (meaning your main screen has the red bars at the top and bottom) then DO NOT put skins on your phone! Activating a custom skin on the Verizon UI will 'brick' your phone (meaning it will be as useful as a brick) If you've already done this and want to fix it here's how:
This will erase your phonebook, but at least you can use the phone again. Also don't worry if it takes you to your camera or doesn't say success, just punch this in exactly how it is below:

press CLR 048263 *
this will get you to the opcode menu.
type 54* and press ok - your screen will go dark. press the camera button and it should say success on the screen
next, type 18*0 and press ok - screen should say success
next, type 18*1 and press ok - screen should say success
power cycle your phone (turn it off then on) and you'll be good.

If you just want your verizon phone to connect to Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) for ringtones and wallpaper, here's how to make it work:

First follow the Getting connected to your PC guide and install MPT. In order to get MPT to recognize your phone, do this seem edit first:
