micro card size 2gb vs 4gb

Sorry if this ones been asked before but I just got the SLVR from Metro pcs. I am thinking about geting a 4gb micro sd card for it. Does any one know if there are any problems with a card this size? I went to motorolas site and it said the SLVE could only take 1gb cards but I've seen mentions of people using 2gb ones with little or no problems. Any advice or thoughts before I go and spend the money?

P.S. the cheepest 4gb Micro SD card i've found is $99.00
any one know of any cheaper?

    Thanks,

i say wait for the 8gb samsung memory cards, you might have to format in the pc but it should work in your phone

i was wonder what tasts better a san desk memory card or a pny memory card. and what type of wine do you serve with it?

I wish it would be that easy. Unfortunately, until the providers allow their phones to accept more than 1GB, the 4 and 8GB cards are overkill.

I think it's all part of their nefarious plot to limit the phones, and force customers into buying their tunes and videos and stuff over and over as customers rotate through what's floating their boats at any given moment.

Cell phone companies also limit memory card size so they can force you to buy a newer device that supports a larger size memoery card like a 2gb vs the older model that would only support 1 gb.

Samsung has announced a 8gb transflash chip. So expect it to work only in the newer phones. I have a moto e-816 and it will only format a card a a 1gb even though i have a 2gb card. So I formated it in my PC and then inserted it into the phone and the phone will see and write to it, it even says its 2gb!
