Esmertec JAVA emulator on BREW!!! Java may be possible!

So, I just modded my found USCC v3m with Alltel firmware and then used a telus upgrade for the v3c and now I can run JAVA apps on my phone. But I was thinking... what about if someone replaced the files in the brewappmgr directory in their phone with these (of course renamed)... Maybe... just maybe... we could get JAVA on our v3m's WITHOUT flashing or losing our transflash folder! I would test this but I have the RAZR activated and I don't wanna screw it up cuz no warranty.

The files should go to a/brew/mod/brewappmgr and the files should be renamed to what the original ones were.

For all of you that are afraid that there is a virus in the archive, there's a pic of the scan.

What is the directory structure on your phone?

Like this:

\ a \ brew \ mod \ esmertec

(contains .BAR files)

\ a \ brew \ mod \ esmertec \ appdb

(contains .PNG and .SETTINGS files)


Do you have other directories within the
\ a \ brew \ mod directory?

Where do your .JAR and .JAD files go?

Do you place them manually or are they downloaded via the Jbed?

Can you post a copy of your menu file:
\ a \ motorola \ system \ mma_ucp

the directory where the .bar files should go is in the a/brew/mod/brewappmgr . in my cousin's phone (he's with uscc) there are 3 brew files in there named uscappmgr.bar (this should be replaced with jeodeken.bar, renamed to uscappmgr.bar first though), es_uscappmgr.bar (should be replaced with jeodekfr.bar, and again renamed to es_uscappmgr.bar), and the caticons.bar (just pics of catalogs, you can delete them). You should have files very similar to that, maybe with just slightly different names.

the .jar files should go into the appdb directory. you can search on google for v710 game guide which will help you.

i keep trying to overwrite the files and it tells me "access to this file/directory has been blocked on this phone by the phone provider"...
any ideas how to "unblock" the files??
