Charge via USB

Is there some way to allow the Razr V3m to chage via USB. I get the message unable to charge when plugging in. I have not loaded anything on the PC yet for Razr tools. Called Moto and was told that I had to install music essentials kit purchased from provider (Sprint). Any way to 'unlock' USB charging with out having to purchase anything else?

3days with Razr, not impressed with battery life.

You need to have the Motorola Phone Tools so that the computer will detect your phone and install the drivers. Then it will charge from the PC...

3days with Razr, not impressed with battery life.

If you are not getting good battery life with your RAZR I would return it. I have had mine for 3 months and I usually get like 4 days before I need to charge it up again.

Or the ones designed for it in the downloads section. That one will work, but if they decide they want to browse files inside it or mod it, they'll need the others.

I'm not for sure why, but I have to turn off my phone and then plug it into the usb cable from the computer for it to charge. Once it begins charging I can then turn the phone on and continue charging.

If I dont I get the same message.
